Introduction to UK Education System

Bachelor’s Program

Bachelor degree are only 3 year (Hons) degree
Pharmacy or Bachelor degree with placements are 4 years
Entry right after High School (12 years)
Scholarship (per year) available
No LSAT required for Law (LLB) program
1st application deadline; January 15, Final application deadline; June 30
Programs average varies from £11,000 upto £18,000; whereas Medicine tuition fee will be on average £20,000
Only £23 to apply as many as 5 UK universities for undergraduate application.

Master’s Program

Master’s degree are only 1 year. However, very few Master degree such as Physiotherapy will be of 2 years
No application fee for Master applications.
Students looking for MBA – fee ranges from £15000 or above. There is no GMAT requirement at most of the UK universities. Though many universities requires a two year managerial work experience.

Medicine

Medicine are 5 years
Admission right after High School
UKCAT or BMAT results required
Apply to maximum 4 UK schools
Application deadline: October 15
Interview

You must apply atleast 5-6 month ahead of starting date of next session. This gives enough time to process your admission and study permit application.

Transfer your Diploma into Degree in the UK

Convert your diploma into degree ranging from 2 years to 3 years, from a UK university, depending on your program. Middlesex University (London), De MontFort University, Birmingham City University are few popular options for transfer of credits application. For more details, Click here

PROCEDURE

Deadline to remember for UK admission

UCAS – (all undergraduate except medicine) – June 30
UCAS – (medicine) – October 15 (6 pm UK time)
LNAT – (required for LLB 3 years in few UK universities) – January 20 & June 30

It generally can take 6-8 weeks before you may receive any university decision on your application. In addition to that give further 3-4 weeks for visa process, depending on the country you are applying from. By following below mentioned steps, it will assist, but not guarantee, in reducing admission timeline.

1st Step

Make checklist of documents required. You must go through university website thoroughly to check which documents required for your admission. Remember, you need to make your application distinctive through presentation. Alternatively, you can contact our office through email, call or in person, where our experience staff will go through your education documents – transcripts, diplomas, degrees, certificates and give an idea on your chances to get admission.

High school diploma and transcripts.
Atleast one academic reference and
Statement of purpose (personal statement) – approx 47 lines.

2nd Step

All undergraduate applications have to go through UCAS*. Students have options to apply in one or up to of 5 universities. To get full support on your UCAS applications, once you linked your UCAS application to us, email us your UCAS ID and full name.

*Students Solution is UCAS register centre and therefore you can choose Students Solution as your adviser while making application through UCAS. For this year September applications, our buzz word on UCAS is SSES2024 (see our office address to confirm)

For postgraduate applications, students MUST contact Students Solution to discuss application process and scholarship procedure in detail. Applicants may receive more scholarship through SSES.

3rd Step

All UCAS applicants must accept offer through UCAS track system, after which universities will send a confirmation email.

4th Step

On receipt of Conditional offer, students need to fulfill the required conditions. Once the conditions are met, UK institutions will issue a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) that will be used for applying to student (tier-4) visa.
